Patient Overview
A young female patient visited the clinic with concerns related to a prominent mole located on the right cheek, close to the eye area. The lesion had been present for several years and was benign in appearance. Although it did not cause pain or functional issues, the patient expressed cosmetic concern, especially because the mole was placed in a noticeable facial region.
Along with the mole, she reported mild skin texture irregularities—such as visible pores and unevenness—on the same cheek area. Her goal was to achieve a cleaner, smoother appearance without visible marks or scars.
Clinical Assessment
During the initial consultation, the dermatology team performed the following evaluations:
- Visual examination to assess size, color, symmetry, and elevation of the mole.
- Dermoscopic imaging to rule out atypical pigment patterns.
- Skin texture evaluation to understand pore enlargement and surface roughness.
The mole displayed regular borders, uniform pigmentation, and no vascular abnormalities. The surrounding skin had mild textural issues, likely associated with a combination of genetics, environmental exposure, and sebum activity.

Diagnosis
Based on clinical and dermoscopic evaluation, the lesion was confirmed as a benign melanocytic nevus.
